How did you first hear about Le Lee Studio?
I first heard about Le Lee Studio when I tried on some of the brand's gowns at Eternal Bridal's Sydney store.
Describe your ‘yes to the dress’ moment. How did you feel in that moment and what made you say ‘yes’ to the Ellie May custom gown?
I had tried on quite a few gowns at different stores in my home state, Queensland, and had not found "the one". My mum and I had planned a trip to Sydney to visit one of my bridesmaids with her mum too, and to attend a few fittings we had booked in. Lauren, one of my bridesmaids, had recommended Eternal Bridal as one of the stores to visit as her gorgeous wedding gown had been purchased from there. I initially went in only wanting to try on A-line dresses as I thought that was all that would suit me. However, Lauren really encouraged me to be open minded and try on all different shapes. The last dress I tried on at my appointment was Paradise Dream by Le Lee Studio and I absolutely fell in love with it! It is a gorgeous fit and flare style that I never thought I would suit let alone end up choosing. I was told that the designer was able to make custom changes to the gown so we decided to change the straps to removable, delicate lace off the shoulder straps, change the neckline to sweetheart and line the front half of the bodice. Le Lee Studio was also able to create a custom flare-point for the train as well as make the dress to my measurements for a completely custom fit. I really have my gorgeous friend Lauren to thank for encouraging me to step out of my comfort zone which ultimately led to my dream wedding gown!
What was the inspiration behind your bridal look?
The theme of our wedding was Spring Floral so I knew I wanted something that aligned with that. The gorgeous floral and spotted lace as well as the sweetheart neckline and floral off the shoulder lace straps really tied into the Springtime theme perfectly.
What specific features/aspects about the gown made you say yes to it?
Honestly, the gown was just so stunning and perfect! The fine details like the little pearls sewn into the centre of the 3D flowers on the lace and the base layer of spot tulle were just so beautiful and I had never seen a dress like it. The train is also so gorgeous and such a statement!
How do you feel wearing the gown on your wedding day?and did it fulfil your wedding dress vision?
Oh wow, I felt so beautiful! I could not wait to get dressed on my wedding day! I remember our wedding coordinator kept telling us that we had plenty of time and were running ahead of schedule but I just wanted to see myself all dressed up as a bride. When I first looked in the mirror it brought tears to my eyes, I had never felt so beautiful in my life! My bridesmaids, mum and wedding coordinator's reactions were all the same as mine! I recall being just so excited for my husband to see my dress and hear his thoughts! It was such a surreal feeling that I will cherish forever.
Did it fulfil your wedding dress vision?
Absolutely without a doubt! I wouldn't change a single thing - it was my dream dress!
Can you share any memorable moments related to the dress on your wedding day?
I am forever grateful to my grandma who actually purchased my gown as a wedding gift to me. I remember being just so excited to show her what we had designed as I had explained bits and pieces to her during the process but she had never seen it in person as she was unable to fly interstate during my fittings. She thought it was perfect!
